Spain edit

Why does Spain have an air base in Sardinia? 96.246.68.89 (talk) 22:31, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is probably being used by them as their command area. Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 07:42, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

The map should add the Spanish frigate and submarine. It is imperative to know the dates and number of sorties done by the Turkish air force! and/or a summary of all sorties/attacks carried out by all different air forces, Please treat as very important. written by Milud Kaabar . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Milud Kaabar (talkcontribs) 14:47, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Norway edit

The six Norwegian F-16s are now based at Souda Bay in Crete.[1] Perhaps this should be added to the map? -- Nidator T / C 16:02, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

UK edit

The map shows only the Tornado bases. The Typhoon is based at Coningsby and Leuchars. There are four Tornados deployed, but 10 Typhoons. Wittlessgenstein (talk) 19:17, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

But now it seems that all the aircraft are at Gioia del Colle airbase, so should the UK bases even be there? What is the map trying to show? Wittlessgenstein (talk) 17:45, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please can you show both RAF Coningsby and RAF Leuchars on the map please regardless of wither aircraft are now based in Italy or not because those bases are playing a major part in the Coalition action to enforce the no fly zone in Libyan and its very wrong that those bases are not included on the map. Belgium edit

Six Belgian F-16 fighter jets are currently stationed at the Greek air base of Araxos, near the city of Patras. Can this be added to the map?

Minor edit request edit

I don't suppose it would be possible to grey in the area of Kosovo on this map, would it? It currently shows it as being like any other part of Srbija, but it is ofc disputed territory. Thanks! =) Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 02:10, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

USA Base edit

Three B-2 bomber aircraft have participated in the operation directly from Whiteman Air Force Base, MO, USA. We could add another smaller map in a box somewhere in the image to show that base. --386-DX (talk) 04:23, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bloody things have some range, ha! You mean like one of those little insets on a map of the US where they show Alaska, Hawai'i, and Puerto Rico? Good idea, that could definitely work, maybe put Missouri and bits of the surrounding states? Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 04:32, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Italian Navy edit

  • Maestrale class frigate "Euro"
  • Cassiopea class patrol vessel "Libra"
  • Etna class auxiliary ship "Etna"
  • Aircraft carrier "Garibaldi"
Is Italy using an aircraft carrier? What ever happened to "the peninsula is our aircraft carrier" and such? Sources for those names as well, please. Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 04:01, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Canadian Navy edit

The HMCS Charlottetown has been deployed as part of the intervention, the map should be edited to recognize this. Sixer Fixer (talk) 17:09, 23 March 2011 (UTC) --87.16.236.38 (talk) 08:22, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Belgian Navy edit

Belgian minehunter Narcis (M923) has also been deployed in the blockade.--Sloane (talk) 23:16, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

to many ships edit

This is not gonna work to put in all the ships of the various navies. My suggestion: take out all the ships, which are part of Operation Unified Protector and replace them with the area of their operations as per this NATO map [2]. and then put only the ships in your map that are not part of Unified Protector. noclador (talk) 17:41, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Add CV Charles de Gaulle, which is part of the strikes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BOBOlite (talkcontribs) 21:08, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bases in Spain are Spanish. edit

The bases show in Spain (Rota and Moron) are Spanish military bases with a substantial USA tenant. I believe they should be shown as Spanish with some indicator of USA forces operating from them. Regards, Ariconte (talk) 00:11, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

MAP edit

Kosovo needs to be included in this map. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.106.61.194 (talk) 20:05, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Already requested that under minor edit request. Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 03:29, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Netherlands and UAE edit

Would someone please update the image to show the Netherlands and UAE aircraft at Decimomannu on Sardinia? Thanks. Van der Knapp (talk) 19:38, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Canada and Airstrikes edit

Canada is also involved in conducting airstrikes under Operation MOBILE, not just the no-fly zone. Canada is also flying 2 CP-140 Polaris maritime surveillance aircraft out of Sigonella as well.Piper2000ca (talk) 00:43, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Further to the above comment, Why has the MAP been updated in such a way as if to imply that Canada and others for that matter (Norway & Denmark) have not been actively involved in airstrikes?? Canadian F18's have been involved in MULTIPLE airstrikes in the Misrata area ever since their aircraft became operational at Tripani! — Preceding unsigned comment added by CanadaPhil (talkcontribs) 13:07, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Put all air forces under the same title as enforcing the no-fly zone. A lot of them seem to be involved in aerial attacks, so there is no point in distinguishing between the two. Jolly Ω Janner 16:25, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
