Father was involved edit

My father John Cockcroft was the head retoucher and director of colourcel, a london based retouching and dye transfer lab in the 1960's. Dad retouched both the abbey rd cover and stg peppers and i would love to give the insider info on how these covers where created by the person who did them and update this much negleted aspect of album cover artwork. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bitdepth (talkcontribs) 16:14, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cigarette edit

I don't know if this belongs here, but I heard that in some versions of the Abbey Road picture, a cigarette is blurred, or edited out or something. Is it true? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.212.159.171 (talkcontribs) 08:44, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

It was edited ( retouched out ) by American poster companies (without permission of either McCartney's or Apple, who owns the rights to the original image. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.19.72 (talk) 14:38, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

The man standing in the background edit

Paul Cole was the man standing in the background beside the black van. He died on February 13, 2008 at the age of 96 in Pensacola, Florida. More information and a full obituary can be found at the Treasure Coast Palm website. --NellieBly (talk) 04:00, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

TOO low res edit

At this resolution it is practically impossible to see certain important parts of the album cover, a specific example being Paul McCartney's lack of shoes|||| —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.255.58.85 (talk) 08:50, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
