(Third son of Sir Cecil Fane de Salis, DL, JP, of Dawley Court, Uxbridge). Lt. 8th Battalion Middlesex (DCO, Duke of Cambridge's Own, Territorials) Regiment (1915). Served in Gibralter and then Ypres district. Wounded near Ypres on 13th September 1915, died of these wounds. Buried Harlington, Middlesex, with parents. Educated: Clayesmore and Uxbridge County School, and University of London OTC-Northampton Polytechnic Institute in London (engineering).
