Summary

Description USS Stewart (DD-224) sinking after use as a target ship off San Francisco (USA), on 25 May 1946. Stewart had been scuttled at Surabaya, Java, on 2 March 1942. The ship was raised by the Japanese and repaired, renamed Patrol Boat No.102. It survived the war and was surrendered by Japan at Kure and returned to U.S. service as DD-224 on 29 October 1945.
