Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer tender USS Dixie (AD-14) at anchor at San Pedro Bay, Leyte island, Philippines, in April-May 1945 with six Allen M. Sumner-class destroyers alongside. Dixie is painted in Camouflage Measure 32, Design 4Ax, the destroyers in Camouflage Measure 22. The destroyers are (l-r): USS Compton (DD-705), USS Ault (DD-698), USS Charles S. Sperry (DD-697), USS English (DD-696), USS John W. Weeks (DD-701), and USS Borie (DD-704).
