DescriptionTrent 506 ACH 506T Leyland National - Flickr - bowlagoogly.jpg
Built in 1978. Seen at Hayfield Bus Station on the 200 service to Buxton in the Ayres Red and Silver/ Grey livery.
The 200 service number is now used elswhere in the Peak District, but was originally a Schooldays only service from New Mills/ Hayfield to Buxton, extending to Bakewell on a Monday. At first it used a Trent bus from a New Mills School service (usually an ex NWRCC Bristol RE).
After de-reg it was worked by Glossop Outstation as a Monday only service to Bakewell, but this is on the later version of the 200. When Trent pulled out of Glossop in 1987, they retained the 394/399 and this 200 is a lunchtime positioning journey, used to get the bus back to Buxton depot and reduce the 'dead' mileage.
