Other information The pin is described in Baird's Manual 20th Ed (1991, p.V-101) as being a shield within a circle of pearls. This example holds a chapter guard with the year 1948. The crest is noted with further symbolism, matching the pin: A crossed axe and key and three white carnations are shown in the background, with an owl, lamp, law book and Greek Letters in the foreground.
