Summary
| Description |
English: The park was given by Councillor Thomas Stewart, for the people of Middlesbrough in 1924 and was officially opened to the public on May 1928. The park is about 120 acres in area. It consists mainly of mature woodland on the south side and open parkland on the north side. There are two lakes in which are Canada and greylag geese, moorhens, coots and various types of duck.
The Captain Cook Birthplace Museum (opened in October 1978) is in the park. |
