Description
English: The Steamboat Natchez's two tandem-compounds steam engines are controlled from this station. The engine order telegraph is on the left. Overhead throttles control the flow of steam to the two engines. The red lever overhead reverses the engines. And the operator monitors steam pressure, condenser vacuum, and other parameters on the gauges.The Steamboat Natchez was built in 1975. The boat is powered by a steam-powered rear paddle wheel. The Natchez sails from the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
