This aircraft was shot down by a 9K32 "Strela-2" missile (NATO reporting code: SA-7 Grail) 16 km south-east of Da Nang, Vietnam, on 26 May 1972 while strafing North Vietnamese tanks. Both crew ejected and were rescued. |
