Ball-and-stick model of part of an (-Br-Sn(Br)-)∞ chain in the crystal structure of the orthorhombic polymorph of tin(II) bromide, o-SnBr2. The structure was reported in Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. (2015) 641, 1467-1472 and is available as ICSD entry 429132 and CSD entry 1737946. This structural element is also found in the hexagonal polymorph of tin(II) bromide, h-SnBr2. Colour code:
