DescriptionSerpentine Gallery Pavilion 2008 by Frank Gehry - geograph.org.uk - 890803.jpg
English: Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2008 by Frank Gehry Each summer for 9 years there has been a temporary pavilion here, by an eminent architect who has not previously designed a building in England. This one is an urban street, open both ends, supported by a massive steel frame with wood cladding. The roof is not continuous, it is composed of overlapping glass panels so there are views through the building to the surrounding trees of Hyde Park. See Serpentine Gallery website http://www.serpentinegallery.org/. The pavilion is open from 20th July to 19th October.
