Summary

Description
English: 104-106 First Ave S in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington. Designed by Edwin W. Houghton, It was built at 5 floors in 1900 as the Lippy Building by T.S. Lippy and was originally used for wholesale businesses, the first being Baker & Richards wholesale paints in the North half and Holloway & Duncan Harness Co. in the Southern half, predecessor to Duncan & Sons Saddlery that would later relocate to 317 2nd Ave S. The fifth floor was removed after sustaining damage during the 1949 earthquake. It originally shared a party wall with the Olympic Block to the north, which was demolished after a botched restoration attempt in the 1980s. Remnants of the Olympic Block can still be seen between the Lippy and newer building.
