English: The lime tree (Tilia platyphyllos), around 1200 years old, it is known as the oldest tree in Germany. It is growing in the municipality of Schenklengsfeld, near Bad Hersfeld
Deutsch: Die etwa 1200 Jahre alte Sommerlinde (Tilia platyphyllos) ist der älteste bekannte Baum in Deutschland (siehe dazu auch den Artikel "Linde (Schenklengsfeld)" in der deutschen Wikipedia). Die Linde steht in Schenklengsfeld bei Bad Hersfeld. Der Baum besteht heute aus vier Seitentrieben, der Zentralstamm ist schon lange abgestorben.
