Summary

Description Asteroid bodies are stellate inclusions with numerous rays radiating from a central core that are present in the cytoplasm of giant cells. . They may be be seen in sarcoidosis and other granulomatous disorders. They are most frequently encountered in the giant cells of foreign body granulomas.
