Description
English: Sarcophagus of Alfonso Pérez, son of count Peter Ansúrez. From the monastery of San Benito (Sahagún, León). This tombstone was sold to New York Metropolitan Museum in 1926, and returned to the National Archaeological Museum in exchange for other archaeological pieces. Now in the Museum of the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro of León.
Español: Sarcófago de Alfonso Pérez, hijo del Conde Pedro Ansúrez. Procedente del Monasterio de San Benito (Sahagún, León). Esta lápida fue vendida al New York Metropolitan Museum en 1926, y devuelta al Museo Arqueológico Nacional a cambio de otras piezas arqueológicas. En la actualidad en el Museo de la Colegiata de San Isidoro de León. El epitafio de la lápida dice: "En el sexto día de los idus de diciembre del año de la era de 1131, murió Alfonso, el hijo querido del Conde Pedro Ansúrez y de la Condesa Elion".
