Photo taken in Nanking Safety Zone on Dec. 15, 1937, two days after the Japanese occupation. Everybody has the armband of the flag of Japan. "The Chinese citizens did not fear the Japanese and willingly cooperated with me for photo-taking," testified the press photographer Shinju Sato.
