The purpose of this image is to show the reader a shot from a key scene in the episode, in which Tommy becomes infatuated with the film Reptar! Reptar's introduction as a television commercial would build up to several appearances throughout the series, in which he would become a greater marketing strategy for things like toys and TV series; this served as a parody of both Japanese dominance in America and the character's actual marketing value in the real world. |
