English: The Embassy of Greece (chancery and ambassador's residence; one of four buildings which comprise the Greek embassy complex) located on Embassy Row at 2221 Massachusetts Avenue, NW in the Sheridan-Kalorama neighborhood of Washington Designed by local architect George Oakley Totten, the Beaux-Arts 35-room mansion was constructed for Hennen Jennings in 1907. The building has served as the Greek embassy since the late 1940s and is valued at $9,708,160. It's a contributing property to the Massachusetts Avenue Historic District and Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District. |
