English: Approximately 6,000 persons attended a rally and a march in Summit, New Jersey, United States, to protest the police killing of Mr. George Floyd. Protesters carried signs saying "Black Lives Matter" and "Equality for All" and "No Justice No Peace". The rally began behind the Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School, with the crowd wearing face masks and practicing social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic. Speakers included Summit's police chief and U.S. Congressperson Tom Malinowski and Summit Mayor Nora Radest. The march proceeded peacefully on Morris Avenue and Springfield Avenue and was escorted by Summit police and EMS volunteers.
