These shots were taken Friday by the Moon Impact Probe just before it intentionally slammed into the lunar surface near the south pole. The MIP rode to the moon on board the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft that recently arrived in lunar orbit. These images are largely unprocessed, and no further details are available yet.
