Summary

Description
English: This is a headstone in Houston's Glenwood Cemetery (Texas, USA). It's a reproduction of an Ogham Stone. Ogham Stones are from the 5th and 6th centuries and originated in Ireland, but can be found in Britain. The markings (the vertical lines with horizontal lines radiating out) form an alphabet. The letters are read from bottom up. In this headstone they spell Hinton, the surname of the man & wife who wanted to be buried here. - About Marks Hinton and Houston's Glenwood Cemetery - Obituary Marks Hinton (1942 - 2023)
