Reprocessed Lunar Orbiter 2 image cropped in Adobe Photoshop to show O'Day crater and surrounding terrain. The spacecraft was north of the crater, looking south; the original spacecraft image has been rotated 180° for Wikimedia. The original image was Lunar Orbiter 2, frame 2075 h3.
The NASA website hosts a large number of images from the Soviet/Russian space agency, and other non-American space agencies. These are not necessarily in the public domain.
The SOHO (ESA & NASA) joint project implies that all materials created by its probe are copyrighted and require permission for commercial non-educational use. [2]
