Description Un gran retrat de Rafael Vargas de Maria-Mercè Marcal, i un text tret d’una de les cartes a Jean-Paul Goujon que l’editorial Empúries acaba de publicar a El senyal de la pèrdua, un volum d’escrits inèdits dels darrers anys. Goujon era especialista en la literatura de Renée Vivien (1877-1909), una poetessa simbolista que va plantar cara a la societat de la seva època. Marçal li havia dedicat una novel•la. Van contactar, es van conèixer i es va establir una relació d’afinitat molt intensa. A través del lector –un bon lector, com Goujon— l’autor es retroba amb la seva obra.
