English: An 18th-century depiction of the death of Prince Afonso, the son and heir of King John II of Portugal, in Santarém, in 1491. The riding accident that killed the Prince is depicted on the upper right corner. The painting is in Sintra National Palace, in Sintra, Portugal.
Português: Representação do século XVIII da morte do Príncipe D. Afonso, filho e herdeiro do rei D. João II de Portugal, em Santarém, em 1491. O acidente de cavalo que vitimou o Príncipe encontra-se representado no canto superior direito. O quadro encontra-se no Palácio Nacional de Sintra.
