1) The dress is a unique visual design. Any duplicate would be an obviously inferior knock-off, and using a photograph of one would be misleading to the reader.
2) The dress was a haute couture one-off, not believed to be commercially mass-produced. It is not possible to simply purchase it to photograph it. 3) It is not known who currently owns the dress. It is not on permanent public display anywhere, so it is not possible to simply go to a museum and photograph it. |
