Summary

Description
English: This is a MOC Wide Angle image of Mars taken with the red and blue WA cameras during the MOI-28days opportunity. It is essentially a one-pixel spot; I believe that the extended, non-circular nature of the image is an artifact of misregistration between the two WA cameras, which I did not compensate for during this processing. The green channel is synthetic, and this image is not photometrically accurate (I assembled it as an amusing exercise as I was monitoring the imaging sequence in July 1993.) This is among the last images taken by the MOC before the spacecraft was lost.
