Summary edit

Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description This picture of author Marjorie Hillis (Roulston) was cropped from a larger photo that also includes authors Will Cuppy and Constance Lindsay Skinner. It was taken at a Bobbs-Merrill reception to promote the release of Orchids on Your Budget by Ms. Hillis. It appeared in Publishers Weekly then owned by R.R. Bowker, in 1937. Permission was given in 1977 to use the full picture in a newspaper feature about Cuppy. Reed Business Information (RBI), the current owner of Publishers Weekly, has no copyright information on photos from 1937, so it is likely that copyright on the picture has expired. Nonetheless, an RBI representative has told me that the 1977 permission is extended. There is also a strong possibility that the picture was created by Bobbs-Merrill and provided to Publishers Weekly for the purpose of promoting the Hillis book.

It should be added that the uploader has been unable to locate any undisputably free image of Marjorie Hillis Roulston.
