English: There are 103 radially draining rivers originating mainly in the central hill country of Sri Lanka.The Malwatu River or "Oya" (Tamil: Aruvi Aru), is a 164 km (102 miles) long river (the second longest) connecting the city of Anuradhapura to the coast of Mannar. "Ritigala" Mountain which is the watershed of the Malwatu Oya is 766 m above the sea-level and the highest mountain in the North Central dry plains of Sri Lanka.
