Description
English: Madeline Miller was born in Boston, and grew up in New York City and Philadelphia. She studied at Brown University, from where she earned a BA and MA in the Classics. Her debut novel, The Song of Achilles, took ten years to write during which time she taught high school Shakespeare, Greek and Latin. The book, a New York Times bestseller, won the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction and has been translated into 14 languages including Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese and Mandarin. She also studied at the Yale School of Drama and the University of Chicago’s Committee on Social Thought. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she teaches and writes. This shot was taken during the annual 'Kolkata Literary Meet 2013' was a part of the 'International Kolkata Book Fair 2013' held at the Milan Mela ground. It is a five day talk and interaction with general public of renowned persons from India and abroad.
