Arria et Pætus.

English: Marble, H. 2.65 m; W. 1.73 m; D. 1.30 m
Français : Marbre, H. : 2,65 m. ; L. : 1,73 m. ; Pr. : 1,30 m, M.R. 2029; Arria, épouse de Pætus, condamné à mort par l'empereur Claude, se donne la mort la première, puis donne le poignard à son mari en disant : "Pæte, non dolet" (Pætus, on ne souffre pas). Exécuté à l'Académie de France à Rome. Entrepris par Théodon qui réalise le modèle et commence le marbre de 1685 à 1691, et achevé par Lepautre de 1691 à 1695. Transporté en France en 1715. Placé d'abord à Marly, puis en 1717 au jardin des Tuileries.
