Deutsch: Dollfuß-Gedenktafel mit Zusatztafel am Mariendom, Linz, Österreich
Text Zusatztafel: Die hier angebrachte Gedenktafel für den von Nationalsozialisten ermordeten Bundeskanzler Dr. Engelbert Dollfuß spiegelt die Situation des Jahres 1934 wider. Die katholische Kirche fühlte sich damals der von Dollfuß vertretenen politischen Kraft verbunden. Die Gedenktafel ist aus heutiger Sicht keine Zustimmung zur damaligen Politik. Nach der Befreiung von der NS-Gewaltherrschaft beschloss die Österreichische Bischofskonferenz, sich in Hinkunft jeder Parteipolitik zu enthalten. Die Kirche ist offen gegenüber allen demokratischen Parteien. Sie setzt sich auf der Basis der christlichen Grundwerte für eine humane und solidarische Gesellschaft ein. Linz im Oktober 2006 |
