Summary

Description
English: Lehi, cropped from The Promised Land, an illustration accompanying Genet Bingham Dee's "The Promised Land", Stories We All Love, The Children's Friend 24, no. 9 (September 1925): 352–354, here 352. Depicts a Book of Mormon scene in which Lehi and his family arrive in "the promised land", which Dee (and perhaps H. W. as well) interpret as being the Americas. Lehi is depicted with a long beard, a turban-like head covering, and long flowing robes all over his body down to his ankles. He wears sandals. With his left hand he gestures/points, gesturing toward something he sees beyond the borders of the artwork. His right hand is held slightly aloft, at about the level of his waist. He stands on a rounded surface, perhaps the crest of a hill.
