Description
English: Carved panel at Wat Mahathat in Luang Prabang, Loas. Depicts the legend of King Thao Sithoanh and the Nang Manola, the kinnari. The kinnari are secondary deities, half-woman (above the waist), and half-bird bird. Part of the stories of Phra lak phra lam (the Ramayana). This Laotian legend is of Khmer origin and is very popular.
