TV show was named "Lanigan's Rabbi," so an image of police chief Lanigan (Art Carney) looking over shoulder of "his rabbi" (Rabbi David Small, played by Bruce Solomon) is an important image. (2) To help with article on actor, Bruce Solomon, who starred in Lanigan's rabbi. This was the only television show in which he starred, and no free photos of this actor seem to be available. Showing this photo alongside the famous TV actor (Art Carney) with whom he co-starred is an important image for the biographical article. Additionally, Solomon played a rabbi in a movie (Harrison's Flowers) in addition to this show, so the image is especially relevant. |

(1) Regarding TV show, can't find other images. TV show was short-lived (one season: pilot plus 4 episodes) in late 70s, with no legal DVD or Video tape copies available. (2) Regarding Solomon, surprisingly lack of photos and even personal information about him. (For example, can't find info on his wife and children, if there were any.) The image of him in a publicity photo for the one series in which he starred is important. |
