Demonstration of the vertical axis of polarization on a Samsung SyncMaster 940BX LCD monitor. When viewed at an angle the brightness is decreased but the overall colors and contrast of the image does not change significantly.

I am uncertain if this falls under screenshot licensing or if it can be under GFDL, since the only copyright components are the Windows and Internet Explorer GUI interface. I do not know if user interfaces can be copyrighted, but I feel this is fair use since the resolution is fairly low.
