English: Kinshasa, DRC – In order to promote the participation of women in peace building, MONUSCO has held an awareness-raising session for some hundred women members of the NGO "Fondation la charité" based in Kinshasa, in the commune of en:Kinsenso. In the multi-purpose hall of the communal house, Francine Wingi, a MONUSCO Civil Affairs officer, invited these women to invest in education within their families in order to combat the insecurity which persists in this commune in southeastern Kinshasa, as a result of the activities of young urban bandits known as "Kulunas".
