Description

Kempt Tower. Also known as the Grosse Tower, St Ouen's No 2, and the New North Battery.
Named after Sir James Kempt, the Master-General of the Ordnance.
It bears the date 1834.
The paved redoubt in front of the tower was used to position three 24-pounder guns.

It is now an informative visitor centre allowing great views from its roof.
