Pictured behind Dr. Linvill is the One-Hand Optacon, then under development at Stanford University by Dr. John Linvill, Dr. Roger Melen, and Dr. Harry Garland. Dr. Linvill was Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.
