Summary

Description
English: This is Paul (or perhaps James) Hetherington, an officer in the National Army during the Irish Civil War. Any help with rank would be welcome, as our metadata gives Compt. - presumably should be Commdt.? While in another photo taken on the same day, he's referred to as Capt.

Also, according to our catalogue, this photo was taken at The Union, Waterford. We asked if there is/was such a place, and desmondg47 suggested that:
"Photo may have been taken at the union (Poor Law Union) workhouse on John's Hill Waterford. Now partially demolished and known as St Patrick's Hospital." Can anyone else confirm this??
