English: male kids of one village forms a group to sing hoya hoye. the group of kids go to each house and sing hoya hoye in a way that appreciates the families of the house and they give blessings after they recive mulmul( type of habesha bread) or money. they sing hoya hoye around a chibo( small fire) which indicates the fire burnet to find the true cross. kids say hoya hoye for Ethiopian new years eve, for the finding of the true cross and for buhe.
