Summary

Description
English: Howden Minster, Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire, England
Showing part of the ruined eastern end of the church and, to the left, part of the surviving western end and tower of the church. It has a history dating back to the 10th century. For many years it was a base for the Prince Bishops of Durham. The present church was rebuilt in the 13th century. It suffered neglect and vandalism through the centuries but the western end was restored after a major fire in 1929.
