Die ovaalvormige kraal (ikhanda) het die oop grasveldarea omsluit, 'n uitgebreide terrein wat hier kwalik sigbaar is.

English: The rebuilt Great audience hut/house (indlu-nkulu), and to its left, Dingane's private hut (ilawu / ilawo), in the black isiGodlo enclosure, at uMgungundlovu, KwaZulu-Natal, as seen from an observation tower, ¾ km to the north. The oval-shaped main kraal (ikhanda) enclosed the whole of the open grassland area, which is larger than this foreshortened view may suggest.
