Summary

Description The Henry Seligman House at 30 West 56th Street, between Fifth Avenue and the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1899-1901 and designed by C.P.H. Gilbert in French Renaissance Revival syle for Henry and Adelaide Seligman, who lived there for over 30 years. The Seligman family of bankers became known as the American Rothschilds.
