File:Henneberg construction of Moser spindle.svg

Original file(SVG file, nominally 450 × 306 pixels, file size: 5 KB)

Summary

Description
English: A Henneberg construction of a graph. The construction starts from a single edge. The first three steps add a new degree-two vertex connected to two existing vertices (Henneberg type 1). The final two steps instead subdivide an edge and connect the subdivision point to an existing vertex, so that the new vertex has degree three (Henneberg type 2). The graph formed by sequences of this type are exactly the Laman graphs; in this case the final graph is the Moser spindle.
