English: This is a map of Grou or Grouw Friesland. The map is based on a aerial photo taken on 2 September 2004 called File:Grouw_20040902_2214.jpg on commons by User:Debot. The picture was clipped, rotated, perspective altered in Gimp. The next layer is water and ditches, the next layer is roads, the next layer is buildings. These layers are hand drawn. Names of streets, scale and legend are on top. Information on names of streets, and locations of buildings was derived from Google Maps 2009. Scale is roughly 1:5000 when displayed at 75 dpi. North is to the top of the map.

The A32 highway and the railway from Leeuwarden dominate the western side. The Prinses Margriet Kanaal cuts from north east to sout west. The island of Burd takes up the north west with the lakes of Peanster Ie to the south of the island and Pikmar (Pikmeer) in the centrte of the map. The original old town centre Rjochte Grou was on the canal that comes out the west end of Pikmar.

Other hamlets or localities on this map are Neare Burd, Wiiddeel, Neardeel, Bosksleat, Neare Galle, and parts of the town of Grou called Biensma 1, Biensma 2, Biensma 3, Oedsmawei.
