It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality). The photo is only being used for informational purposes. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because of the historical significance of the subject in the establishment of a national university.

The photo will be used on the article page of the subject of the image as a secondary image for the section on his career

This photo was meant for only a portrait for the purposes of depicting a high-profile academic. I believe the owner and the family of the subject have never commercialized the image
