Summary

Description
English: Glass Mountain is a mound of selenite crystals in Cathedral Valley, Capitol Reef National Park. The mound is about ten feet high. The crystals are about the size of a dinner plate, or somewhat larger. The smooth surfaces reflect sunlight so that from a distance, the specular reflections seem to glisten and sparkle. The Temple of the Sun rises in the background.
