English: Part of the Architeuthis dux holotype. Preserved soft tissue of a giant squid specimen found dead and collected by Danish merchant sailor Hygom in the 1850s in the Bahamas for Danish zoologist Japetus Steenstrup. Part of the collections of the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark, photographed by Dr Inger E Winkelmann in January 2013.
