This tartan image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Galbraith, Hunter, Mitchell or Russell tartan.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
Description The Galbraith, Hunter, Mitchell or Russell tartan. This tartan was likely first known as a Galbraith tartan in the Highland Society of London. In 1847 William Wilson and Sons of Bannockburn recorded this patern as a Russell tartan in 1847, although in 1819 it was named Hunter, The tartan was named Mitchell, in honour of General Billy Mitchell, when the tartan was adopted by the United States Air Forse pipe band.[1]
